Letter from the President
January 2010
LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Glenn community center family, friends & sponsors,
The year 2009 into 2010 was and is an exceptional time. We held the first
“Glenn Community Center Golf Outing” raising almost $7,000.00, which made
this event the most profitable fund raiser in the history of the GCC. Most importantly
was the fact that all of the participants had a good time and enjoyed the golf & a
great dinner. We also had the largest attendance ever, almost 500 people, at our
4th of July Pancake Breakfast and in the fall we held our first Pig Roast in honor of
our Ganges Township Fire Department.
We plan to purchase a Pool Table & a Ping Pong Table for the GCC for the enjoyment
of our Community which should attract all ages. We hope to have free ice cream socials and perhaps dances & free movie nights.
2010 has just started and we have many ideas to consider and are open to your suggestions for the benefit and enjoyment of our Community. Your Board of Directors
are really excited about the year 2010 and hope for your cooperation and help to make
this a landmark year for all of the Glenn Community.
All events will be listed on our website and calendar, so check it often as it is updated on
a regular basis and new events will be added throughout the year. The Center is available
to rent for any occasion. The website shows available times & fee schedule or you can call
269-227-2262 and leave a message. Our Rental Coordinator will return your call.
2009 was a trying time for our Country due to the failing Economy, Unemployment and the ongoing War. The State of Michigan was one of the hardest hit by all of the above.
With the support of all of our Glenn Community, permanent and summer residents, I am proud of all of our accomplishments and pray that 2010 will be the best yet!
May God Bless Our Beloved UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ‘our’ GLENN MICHIGAN.
